Buckle up and brace yourselves. After a highly successful year of fundraising in 2023, our team have pledged ongoing support for Martin House Children’s Hospice.
Through a lineup of exciting events, we aim to raise an additional £10,000 for the Boston-Spa based charity. Martin House provides free, family-led hospice care, free of charge for children and young people with life-limiting illnesses.
To kick off our fundraising for 2024, on 7th March, we will be getting our football boots at the ready for a Martin House Football tournament. To secure their spot on the team, each player is challenged to raise £25 ahead of the match.
Looking ahead, summer for G&K starts on the 23rd June, where our team will be diving head first into the Leeds Dragonboat Race. Two teams of eleven will take to the waters at Roundhay Park, Leeds to battle it out in the name of charity.
Taking a break from all the sports, we will also be organising two charity bag donations to collect items that will bring joy and support to those in need. We will be organising one drive in winter, and another in summer to show our ongoing support for this incredible charity and bring us one step closer to our £10,000 goal.
This is our third year of fundraising for the hospice. Ian Crawford, Group Operations Director, says: “We are thrilled to be supporting Martin House for another year. For us, it’s not just about reaching a financial milestone, it’s also about creating opportunities to come together, make memories and create positive change to support those in need.”
