How and when did you join Gough & Kelly?
I originally joined Gough & Kelly in 2012 as a Controller in the Control Room team. The company noted my skillset, and after nine months I was seconded onto a large-scale IT contract for the NHS. After completing the contract, I took a small break to spend some time with my children and returned to G&K in 2017.
How has your career developed?
Since my return in 2017, I have progressed within the company, starting as a Control Room Team Leader, then moving up to the role of Control Room Manager, I am now a Project Manager.
My career development has been greatly supported by the company, which has helped me to identify my overall strengths and provided training to further develop them. I am so happy with my career path and eagerly anticipate what the future holds. G&K's support has also empowered me to become a vocal advocate for Neurodiversity and Neurodiverse employees.
Tell us about a typical day at Gough & Kelly?
At G&K, every day is different, and that's what I love about it! In my role, there is a lot of variation from project to project, but as a team, we take pride in our ability to come together when needed. A single call can completely change our day.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
By far, the thing I enjoy the most about my job is interacting with different departments within the business. Naturally, I'm rather analytical, so I love looking at interdepartmental processes to find ways to align them for better outcomes.
What is your passion outside of work?
Outside of work, I am a knowledge seeker. I love to learn about the world around me, and I read a lot of books. I am also a hands-on dad of 5, and I love to spend time with my children as much as possible.
