“I wanted to express my sincere thanks to Derek (Supervisor) and Gordon (Patrol). And ensure their managers/ appropriate Directors understand the excellent customer service I had the pleasure of receiving during a stressful time this evening.
Today I went shopping with my 7 month old daughter in York – I parked at Coppergate, returning to my car at 5:30pm. I packed the pram and my daughter in the car, and in doing so I accidentally left a large bag of shopping in the carpark and drove home.
My initial thought was that either a), my bag will have been taken by someone, or b), it’ll be a total and utter nightmare trying to retrieve it without physically going back to the carpark myself and getting it back – baring in mind it was 6:30pm, and the carpark shuts at 7pm and I would need to travel from Boston Spa (30+ min travel).
I called Gough and Kelly and was immediately put in touch with Derek who was an excellent help from the start. Derek immediately arranged for Gordon to check the carpark when he was locking up, and at 7:00pm I received a phone call from Gordon to say he was in possession of my bag. My husband met with Gordon at 7:15pm.
Derek kindly called me later that evening to check everything was okay. When I asked if Derek had much longer left on his shift, he stated he was no longer at work and was at home making tea – what a wonderful employee to extend his customer service commitment by calling me out of his allotted hours.
My husband also commented on how lovely Gordon was. I would like to give my upmost thanks to their proactive, reactive help. From leaving the bag in the carpark at 5:30pm, it was back within our possession by 7:15pm.
Please pass my thanks to Derek and Gordon once again. They are a credit to your team.
